AMERICAN OEM & HEARTHWOOD SHOWED THEIR APPRECIATION

American OEM and Hearthwood Floors hosted a cookout at their manufacturing facility outside of Nashville, TN this week. The annual event, now in its fourth year, is planned to show the internal staff’s appreciation for the 200 offenders, and 50+ Department of Corrections staff who make running the plant at Turney Center possible.

To celebrate, the American OEM employees served a lunch to the manufacturing workers and corrections officers. The meal consisted of barbecue pulled pork, beef brisket, southern sides, and homemade cookies prepared at an American OEM employee’s home.

“This lunch has become a highly anticipated event that the offenders look forward to all year long. We appreciate the work they do for American OEM, and so it is a great opportunity for us to serve them and show our gratitude for their efforts” says Doug Van Nest, Vice President of Manufacturing.
