Compass Flooring Distributors joins Hearthwood Distribution Group

[Burns, Tenn.] American OEM is pleased to announce the expansion of the Hearthwood distribution group to Orlando, FL based Compass Flooring Distributors. This is the latest distributor to take on the company’s brand, representing Hearthwood in the Florida and Texas markets.

The team at Compass is well versed in selling high-end, design-leading hardwoods, and we feel confident they will do a great job representing our flagship brand,” according to Allie Finkell, creator and EVP of Hearthwood.

Compass was founded in 2010 and has warehouses in Orlando and Houston, holding inventory on hardwood and resilient flooring products. Compass President, Kelley Wilson has a long history with Don Finkell and says, “Partnering with Hearthwood will be a great collaboration for both Compass and Hearthwood. The company’s flagship brand continues the four generation legacy started by Andy Anderson, the inventor of the American engineered wood floor in the 1940s.

“Hearthwood is a way to honor our family’s 70+ year history in the wood business. It leverages the vast experience our past, but is packaged in a modern way that appeals to a younger, predominately female demographic,” says Finkell. “We’re not completely finished setting up our national distribution network and are excited to continue planting seeds for growth.”

Hearthwood is showing at the NWFA Expo in Tampa, FL this week at Booth 801, positioned close to the Compass exhibition space at Booth 800.
